Who we are
Oxhey Village Environment Group is your local non-political, non-profit residents’ group, run by volunteers since 1974.
Most people know us simply as OVEG. We work on behalf of several hundred members to maintain Oxhey Village as a great place to work, live and visit.
We do this by campaigning on behalf of our members, recording local history, keeping a close on planning proposals, and organising events that bring the community together.

What we do
Our main objectives are to:
- maintain, protect and enhance the character and environment of Oxhey Village and its surroundings
- foster the community spirit in the village
- protect and support the services to the area
- record the history of the area
As an organisation run by volunteers we’re always on the lookout for people who’d like to get involved. Whether you can spare an hour or two helping at one of our events or fancy joining the committee, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us at publicity@oveg.org.
