About Oxhey Village

You’ll find Oxhey Village nestled in the south-east corner Watford borough; a modern urban village, on the Hertfordshire border.

Our residents are proud to have a strong sense of community and purpose. Much of village life centres around our local pubs, shops, cafes and beautiful green spaces. We take pride in where we live and enjoy welcoming new faces to the place we call home.

The village is home to a wide range of people; from those who are third or fourth generation residents, to folks who have fled the capital for a more peaceful, community orientated life – and everyone in between.

Despite being conveniently close to Watford and Bushey, and less than 20 minutes on the train to central London, Oxhey Village has retained much of its rural charm due to the abundance of green belt on our doorstep.

That’s why Oxhey Village Environment Group was founded; to ensure the area remains a great place to live, work and visit. Find out more about who OVEG are, what we do, and how we do it. And if you haven’t already, please consider joining us as a member. As we often say, together, we are stronger.

You can discover the history of the area in our Oxhey Village history archive.
