Green spaces

Oxhey Village Green – The green is central to life in Oxhey Village. Located on Lower Paddock Road, it’s where we host many of our events such as the Summer Fayre and the Picnic on the Green. As well as plenty of space to walk and relax, there is a well-maintained children’s play area.

Watford Heath – The heath is an historic part of Watford, located at the southern end of Oxhey Village. It is a beautiful, tree-lined green with seating around the edges.

The Royal Oak and Load of Hay pubs, as well as Oxhey Bowls Club, are close to Watford Heath.

Attenborough Fields – Just a stone’s throw from Oxhey Village Green you’ll find the historic parkland of Haydon Hill House, named after the Attenborough family, the house’s former occupants.

The 23-hectare site lies between Oxhey Village and Bushey. The Friends of Attenborough Fields was formed in 1994 to assists the county council with site management.
