It feels like the end of an era, as this week we say a fond farewell to landlord Chris Pyrke at The Rifle Volunteer in Oxhey Village.
For more than 29 years, Chris has made the Rifle a central component of our community; a place to spend time with family and friends, chat with neighbours, and forge a lifetime of fond memories.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Chris, who has been a wonderful supporter and friend to OVEG for many, many years. We hope to join him very soon for a refreshing beverage on the other side of the bar!
And of course, we’re looking forward to meeting the new landlords and wish them every possible success in their new venture.
