Hertfordshire council reorganisation: have your say

The structure of local government in Hertfordshire – including Watford – is set to change. You have a chance to share your views on the proposals.

Under government plans, areas like Hertfordshire that operate a two-tier system are being asked to rethink how services are organised.

The leaders of all eleven Hertfordshire councils have previously ruled out the option of a single unitary authority covering the entire county.

Three options are now on the table, which would see Hertfordshire restructured into either two, three or four unitary authorities.

To have your say, you can complete a survey on the Hertfordshire local government reorganisation.

Watford Borough Council will also be holding several public meetings in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, where you can find out more and ask questions. You can book your place at one of these sessions.
