You may have noticed that the Christmas tree fairies (who strangely are called John and Paul) have been hard at work around Oxhey Village…
Our fabulous local pubs, The Villiers Arms, The Rifle Volunteer, The Railway, The Royal Oak and The Load of Hay are all entering the Christmas spirit and playing host to a community Christmas tree.
This is where you come in…
We need your help to decorate the trees. Make a bauble, donate some tinsel or hang a star to make these bare trees beautiful. OVEG has donated the community Christmas trees since the pandemic (remember when Boris cancelled Christmas?) after a great idea from Jason Gutteridge, landlord of The Villiers Arms, to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer. We just think it’s lovely to see the village all Christmassy.
Go forth and decorate. Merry Christmas!
p.s. our thanks to all the pubs for hosting the trees. Please support them all this festive season and pop in for a glass of mulled wine (or two) on your decorating missions.
