It is with some regret that we have taken the decision to cancel Oxhey Open Gardens this year. We know how much people enjoy visiting local gardens, but sadly this year this is not possible. So we are asking anyone in the Oxhey area, who would like to, to take a short, 3 minute maximum video of their garden (possibly with commentary), anytime this spring or summer, and post it on the Oxhey Open Gardens group Facebook page. In this way we are still able to share some of the beauty of Oxhey’s varied and interesting gardens – but virtually!
Every year Oxhey Open Gardens raises money for Peace Hospice Care in Watford – last year almost £5000! All around the country hospices are really short of cash as their fundraising activities have all been cancelled, and Peace Hospice Care is no exception. We are asking everyone who would regularly enjoy Oxhey Open Gardens in June to consider making a donation to Peace Hospice Care: https://www.peacehospicecare.org.uk/supporting-us/donate/, mentioning Oxhey Open Gardens when you donate.
