Oxhey Sounds has an exciting autumn planned, starting with two more events, one of which is a performance by Oxhey Village musicians Sundown.

Sunday 18 September
Japanese percussion master Kobo will play a solo concert. There will be a mixture of Afro-Brazilian music on various percussion instruments, and original music (with backing track) featuring that magical instrument, the handpan. The meditative quality of this instrument will fit perfectly in the gorgeous ambience of the chapel.
Originally from Japan, Kobo has played jazz drums with legendary musicians in New York, percussion with master drummers in Gambia, with the amazing Kazakh shamanic singer Nazgul Shukaeva and a huge variety of musicians across the worlds of funk, soul, Latin, African and world music. A colourist and magician, he is truly a global musician.
Saturday 4 October
Featuring local rising stars, SUNDOWN, aka Archer Levy and Georgia Lowe. This singer/songwriter duo have already garnered support from BBC Radio 1, Love Island UK and recently sold out their highly anticipated London headline showcase. They also supported the iconic Paul Carrack (Mike & The Mechanics) on his tour of the Netherlands, Belgium and UK, performing to crowds of over 2,500.
The pair are known for their distinctive blend of soul, pop, jazz, and R&B. Georgia’s soulful, soothing vocals paired with Archer’s masterful guitar playing come together to create an irresistible, feel-good energy that captivates listeners. This is a chance to hear them, more or less unplugged.

Both events start at 16:00, at Oxhey Chapel, and will be followed by a glass of bubbly. To book your seats, visit the Oxhey Sounds ticket page.
