Rededication ceremony for Oxhey Village Green’s war memorial ceremony

Please join us for the re-dedication of a World War One memorial on Sunday.

The memorial has been part of Oxhey Village for decades but having been rescued from the old Tin Baptist Church on Upper Paddock Road many years ago, has now be re-set in a new memorial on our Village Green. Poignantly, this project has been in the planning for many years but has been completed this year, the Centenary marking the commencement of the Great War.

We are extremely proud to be remembering those named on this plaque and on their behalf, all who fought and lost their lives.

The ceremony itself will last no more than 30 minutes and then we are grateful to our friends at the Oxhey Village Club who are opening especially to serve refreshments immediately afterwards.
