To mark the half-centenary of Oxhey Village Environment Group, we’re bringing a photographer to the Picnic on the Green and inviting anyone who has volunteered with us over the past 50 years to join us for a huge group photo on the village green.
Given that several of us (including yours truly!) are unlikely to make it to the 100th anniversary party, this feels like the perfect opportunity to capture a special moment in time, so the Oxhey villagers of 2074 can look back on the faces who currently represent our wonderful community.
If you have ever volunteered for OVEG, WWOGAS, Friends of Attenborough Fields, Friends of Oxhey Park – or indeed any of the other hardworking organisations that make Oxhey Village a great place to live – we’d love for you to join us on the green at 3pm on 13 July (during the Picnic on the Green). This does, of course, include all of the people and businesses who have supported our work over the years, no matter how ‘small’ the contribution.
Swanky attire not necessary… just bring along your best smile
