Oxhey Swapsey is a pilot project to encourage the recycling of household items and save them from landfill.
From 09:00 until 12:00, on the first Saturday of each month, residents can re-home their usable – but unwanted – items that were too good for the tip. As an added bonus, you can find useful items to add joy to your own home, for free.
The themed sessions will take place on the following dates:
6 July 2024 – camping, gardening, sports equipment
3 August 2024 – school uniform, school stationery, electricals
7 September 2024 – music, books, DVDs, CDs
5 October 2024 – fancy dress, craft supplies
2 November 2024 – toys, kids’ stuff
7 December 2024 – Christmas items, items suitable for gifts
4 January 2024 – Unwanted gift items, general ‘new year clear out’
