Update on donations to Watford Foodbank and New Hope Trust</b>
New Hope Trust
Donations of pot noodles, porridge pots and lunch ingredients have been flooding in this week for New Hope Trust. In addition to these items, donations of cordial or squash, crisps, pizzas, cheese and eggs are also welcome.
We received a lovely message from New Hope Trust thanking Oxhey residents for their generosity and kindness.
“Our heartfelt #thanks go to the generous residents of #Oxhey for providing former rough sleepers with essential provisions throughout the pandemic.”
It was also posted on their Facebook page.
Watford Foodbank
Foodbank donations are still strong, so huge thanks to everyone for continuing to give, even though excursions to the shops are restricted.
As the lockdown weeks pass and demand at foodbanks across the country increases the foodbank is now accepting fresh food including fruit, vegetables and dairy products.
The following link to an article recently written by the Trussell Trust, outlines how communities like ours are adapting to the massive change and challenges brought about by COVID-19.
