We would like to show our support for our friend and local business owner, Prem, at Newsbit on Villiers Road, following a break in at the shop last night (19 August 2024).
The thieves damaged/broke his shutters and smashed the glass to gain entry as well as stealing what could be as much as thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes.
We’ve launched a GoFundMe page, so residents can show their support for Prem and contribute to the expenses of repairing his shop. If you’re able to donate, please do so.
We’re grateful to the police for their support and investigation in to this incident and wish Prem all the best as he gets the shop reopened and restocked.
If by any chance your doorbell camera or any other CCTV, caught the incident (around 2.45am – thieves travelled on at least one moped), please contact the Police by calling 101.
