On Wednesday night there was a very damaging fire on the boundary of the cattle field in Merry Hill and Brazier’s old land on the western boundary of Merryhill. It has severely damaged an ancient oak and burnt out about 30 metres of fence, posts and a large area of grass.
If anyone sees anyone with a fire or BBQ in the fields or any suspicious behaviour, please call 101. This is the second large fire in a week, where the fire brigade has had to be called out.
