Borras, the construction contractor at Oxhey Park, is planning to carry out the resurfacing of parts of the Sustrans path starting on Monday 29th June.
The majority of the path is in good condition, however, there are two main sections where the tarmac is breaking up and these will be cleaned up, realigned where required and resurfaced.
The two sections are marked up on the attached site plan.
The section leading off Wiggenhall Road will be resurfaced first. The Sustrans path will need to be closed off for about a week from Wiggenhall Road up to the Bridge. Park users will be redirected on to the footpath on the opposite side of the river.
The section of path adjacent to the Café building will be resurfaced after the above section is complete and this will need the entire Sustrans path and the bridge to be closed off for about a week as the resurfacing works will extend up to the edge of the bridge.
Borras has put up notices advising users of the temporary path closure and will put up the redirection signage just prior to the start of work on 29th June.
