We’ve just received the bad news that we’re losing the OVEG storage facility, close to Oxhey green, in just under a month. Anyone who has helped us will know how vital the lockup has been to everything we do for many, many years – it’s where we keep the equipment needed to for popular, long-running events, such as the Summer Fayre, the Jumble Trail, and the Picnic on the Green. It’s really not the start to the new year that we’d have hoped for.
As a small Oxhey Village community group, run entirely by volunteers, we’re hugely reliant on our lockup. Sadly, without a suitable alternative, our events programme for 2023 will be in serious jeopardy. We can’t put into words how devastated we’d be if we couldn’t provide the events that bring the community together every year.
If you know of anywhere suitable, we’d be hugely grateful to hear from you. Any facility would need to be close to the village green and be garage sized – large enough to fit a number of large gazebos and other equipment.
