The Big Breakfast took place on Saturday 4 October 2025 at Bushey Baptist Church.

Returning after a two-year hiatus, the event was big on community numbers and big on taste! In fact, this was our biggest Big Breakfast to-date, serving almost 140 people and raising in excess of £800 for Watford’s Rennie Grove Peace Hospice.
It was wonderful to see the vibrant community spirit, with so many people –of all ages –chatting to family, friends and long-lost acquaintances, as well as those just enjoying their breakfast while flicking through the local paper.
Special thanks went to Bushey Baptist Church for the use of their venue and all the fantastic support they gave us in the lead up to, and during, the event.
We always aim to source as much produce as possible from local suppliers. We were grateful to local businesses who generously provided food and drink, including:
- RefillAbell for donating delicious jams, compote and granola
- Loveday bakery for donating bread, and providing delicious croissants and pain au chocolates at cost
- Ducks Hill Farm who generously donated 150 free range eggs
- Peter from Oxhey Village Dairy for donating milk
- Gary Fruit for suppling fruit and veg
- Gibsons butchers for providing black pudding
- Newsbit for supplying Watford Observers.
Following the event, we donated surplus food and drink to New Hope; a Watford-based charity that supports homeless and vulnerably-housed people.
And as always, we were indebted to the amazing volunteers – far too many to mention by name – who helped us run the event. Without them, it simply wouldn’t be possible.
