The Oxhey Village Summer Fayre took place on Saturday 9 June 2018.
This was our 43rd Summer Fayre and we were lucky enough to be graced with clear skies.
There was a huge variety of stall to browse, offering everything from jewellery to pottery, plants, aromatherapy, fine art and more.
The Bushey Baptist Church tea tent provided hot and cold food, and our Elaine from the Railway Arms ran the OVEG Pimms tent.
The central arena, as usual, was the hub of the fayre with the Glen Trew Pipe Band, Bushey & Oxhey Infants School’s second year country dancers, the Pump House, The Dog Show Capoeira Senzala Bushey, and the children’s running races organised by the Rolph family.
The Oxhey Village Dog Show also took place at the fayre.
The event was sponsored by Friends Estate Agents, Beadles Jaguar & Land Rover, and the Rifle Volunteer.
We were also grateful to:
- Our volunteers, who helped set up and clear away
- The team of marshals
- Stall holders, including the local businesses that donated raffle and tombola prizes
- Entertainers
- Our local police community support officers
- Bushey Museum for allowing us to borrow their van
- West Watford and Oxhey Allotment and Garden Society (WWGOAS) for providing power
