We met on Sunday 12 November 2017, for the village’s Remembrance Day service and memorial walk. In keeping with annual tradition, we met at the Oxhey Village Green memorial and continued to Watford Heath memorial.
We were grateful to everyone who joined us, including:
- Rev Fr David Shephard for conducting the service
- PCSO Dominik, his colleagues, and all the volunteers who marshalled the walk through the village
- Sam and Craig Dronsfield, Maggie Parker, and Rob Hopkins for laying the wreaths
- John Ratcliffe for his reading
- Ian Brameld for playing the last post
- The Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers
- Lynn Tosh for printing the order of service
- The Royal Oak and their neighbours at Victoria Cottage
- Last but by no means least, Andrew Filer, for once again organising the event on our behalf
