The Oxhey Village Summer Fayre took place on Saturday 10 June 2023
Despite weather forecasts right up until the morning itself suggesting heavy rain and thunderstorms, it ended up being an incredibly hot day.
As is tradition, the Glen Trew Pipe Band announced the start of the summer fayre, followed by the official opening by Watford Mayor Peter Taylor. The Pump House Children and Youth Theatre performed in the arena followed by Bushey and Oxhey Infants, with their English country dancing.
Unfortunately, due to concerns about the welfare of the dogs in the heat, we had to make a last-minute decision to cancel the Oxhey Village Dog Show.
