Thousands of passengers have signed a petition to save the 142 and 258 TfL bus services which run through Oxhey Village and Watford.
Campaigners have suggested that the services are under threat if Hertfordshire County Council cuts its funding for the routes, as planned in its proposed budget for 2016. They say such a move would leave elderly people stranded and students with no way to get to school.
The 142 bus runs from Watford Junction to Brent Cross. The 258 bus runs from Watford Junction to South Harrow.
There are at least two petitions, launched by Watford councillors. One by Labour and another by the Liberal Democrats.
