£400,000 to ‘raise the roof’ at Pump House

Watford’s Pump House theatre needs to raise almost half a million pounds to fund a major refurbishment project.

The project will see essential building improvements, including a new roof, additional seats, bigger dressing rooms, new studio/rehearsal space and improved facilities for those with accessibility needs.

A few years ago, the ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign successfully gathered £850,000 in funding. However, it has now been discovered that a further £450,000 is urgently needed to meet rising construction costs. Despite recent donations, amounting to £50,000, there is still a substantial shortfall.

While the theatre’s trust are continuing their efforts to secure funding, they are also asking for the community’s support, in order to fulfil their ambition of significantly upgrading this much-loved arts space.
