OVEG AGM 2006

The OVEG Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 20 March 2006. We hosted the event at Bushey and Oxhey Methodist Church on King Edward Road.

Jill Ibbott stood down from the committee due to family commitments, having served four years as Newsletter Editor. Other committee members not seeking re-election were Treasurer Nick Bugg and Events Coordinator Julie Bowtell.

Achievements cited for the last year included:

• An update to the OVEG website
• An increase in membership from 657 to over 750
• The introduction of a new range of merchandise
• A series of interesting events and talk evenings
• An Oxhey Village Summer Fayre described as “one of the best”
• The installation of notice boards on Oxhey Green
• The installation of railings on Chalk Hill and Villiers Road

*We were unable to secure a Newsletter Editor and the role was left vacant at the AGM.
