The OVEG Social and AGM was held on Thursday 4 April 2019. We hosted the event at Villiers Coffee House on Villiers Road.
This was the second time we held at our AGM at the coffee shop, which it was agreed made for a warm and informal venue.
With drinks flowing, local members joined us for an evening of chat and the opportunity to get to know their committee members. We were also joined by local councillors.
Before the AGM business proceeded, Louis Breese from Watford’s Peace Hospice joined us for the presentation of a huge cheque, recognising the £810 raised at this years Big Breakfast.
We held the formal process of voting in committee members. Ian Davis gave us an impassioned speech about his role chairing the committee which received a great response from the room. There were no changes to roles other than to mention the now vacant position of Volunteer Co-ordinator. All votes were passed through with one abstention and the remainder all in favour.
We were grateful to local photographer Dylan Nolte who attended and captured images of the evening.
The following members were elected to the OVEG committee:
- Ian Davis – Chair
- Rob Kirby – Deputy Chair
- Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe – Secretary
- Ellen Millington – Treasurer
- Michelle Potts – Membership Secretary
- Matt Acornley – Publicity Officer
- Paul Hudson – Fayre Coordinator
- Richard King – Commercial Officer
- Moe Casey – Committee Member (Events)
