There are just a couple of days left to respond to Three Rivers District Council’s consultation on its latest Local Plan.
The Local Plan Regulation 19 is the council’s main planning document; it provides policy guidance on delivering new homes and jobs, protecting landscape resources and green infrastructure.
A number of sites are likely to be of interest to Oxhey Village residents:
- Land at Oxhey Lane: 98 homes
- Land north of Oxhey Lane: 96 homes
- Grange Wood: 50 homes
- Land east of Oxhey Lane: 381 homes, including 60 extra-care units and a children’s home
- Land south of Little Oxhey Lane: 400 homes, a medical centre and community facilities
- The proposed secondary-school site at Carpenders Park Farm
The deadline for responding to the consultation is 23.59 on Friday 25 September 2026.
Issues that may be of interest to residents include the cumulative impact on the green belt, traffic and road safety, infrastructure, healthcare and school provision, flooding, ancient woodland, wildlife, heritage and the remaining gap between Watford and Harrow.
